dropfile connects two browsers directly. Nothing that passes between them is seen, scanned, or stored by this service — not the file, not its name, not its contents.
That means:
We cannot verify what's being sent. Files aren't scanned for malware, and content isn't screened in any way.
We cannot intervene once a transfer starts. There is no way for us to stop, trace, or recover a transfer in progress.
You are responsible for what you send and accept. Only connect with people you trust, and only open files from senders you know.
Report illegal use to the proper authorities. If you believe this service is being used for something illegal, report it directly to your local police, the NCMEC CyberTipline for child exploitation material, or IC3 for other cybercrime.
This is a free public service. Please don't ruin it for others.
If you're receiving a file from someone you don't know, treat it with the same caution you'd use for any unsolicited attachment.

send a file, direct.
Files move straight between two browsers. Nothing touches a server. The moment you both disconnect, there's no record this ever happened.

If you can verify this out loud or in another chat, both sides should see the exact same safety code. A mismatch means something is intercepting this connection.
How this stays gone: the server only introduces two browsers to each other. Once connected, your file streams peer-to-peer — never uploaded, never logged. Close the tab and it's over.
